Kaiten Sushi literally means “Rotating Sushi” in Japanese, and that is exactly what you will find at our Hay Street Mall locations. Sushi is produced by one of our expert chefs and then placed on a conveyor belt which runs past each seat in the restaurant. Customers make their selections from the steady stream of fresh Sushi moving along the belt.

Kaiten Sushi has several advantages. Sushi is made fresh continuously and there is rarely any delay or wait time for orders. From the time a customer sits down a wide variety of Sushi passes right before their eyes. No specialized knowledge of Sushi or the accompanying jargon is required as the menu is presented continuously as it revolves around the restaurant. Even the complete novice can be confident that they will be satisfied after each visit, at the same time there is plenty of opportunity to try something new and tasty without the commitment of ordering a full meal. The plate-by-plate structure always for great flexibility in portions and variety. Customers are free to take as much or as little as they like and choose the assortment which suits their tastes on that day.

Prices are clearly indicated by the colour of the plate. As customers choose plates from the conveyor belt or help themselves to soft drinks they are able to keep track of the bill with each selection. After finishing, one of our staff members will be around to issue a docket based on the number and type of plates. The customers then proceed to the cashier, making for a quick and easy transaction.
